Ghost Recon: Wildlands Releases 20 Minutes of Single Player Gameplay

About a week ago, Ubisoft revealed that fans of Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be privy to the premiere of a 30-minute live action film centered around the Santa Blanca drug cartel, which intends on promoting the more realistic aspects of the forthcoming game when the short debuts next month. Now, however, the publisher and developer has decided to give fans a better idea of how Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ single-player operates, as the company has released more than 20 minutes of gameplay footage of a solo walkthrough for the game.

As seen below in the video courtesy of PlayStation EU’s YouTube channel, Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ game designer Dominic Butler takes point in walking players through the campaign, as he narrates the 20-minute video, which highlights some of the game’s missions, with the first requiring players to siege a church and steal a bible. More specifically, the video provides a focus on solo gameplay, as opposed to the title’s team-based multiplayer.

As displayed in the footage above, when playing alone in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, there will always be three separate, AI-controlled team members of whom players can command and give directions. Furthermore, the video also shows off how the game’s day and night cycle flows, how it’s weather system operates, and much more.

At the end of the most recently released piece of footage for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Dominic Butler reminds fans about the game’s forthcoming open beta, which is supposed to occur sometime in the first quarter of this year. As a matter of fact, fans who wish to take part in the test can enroll for the chance to do so right now, as signups and registration began roughly a couple of months ago.

Although Ubisoft has yet to divulge exactly what gameplay aspects will be available in Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ beta, the company should expect plenty of fans to sign up since many consider the title to be one of the most anticipated video games of 2017. With any luck, fans will be given the chance to take part in such adventurous scenarios as Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ more team-oriented missions like Operation Skydive, in which players will need to work together in order to fluidly execute the assignment.

Taking all of this into account, it seems as if Ghost Recon: Wildlands is coming along quite nicely, with excitement mounting for its eventual release a little over a month from now. While the anticipation for the game is certainly valid, it remains to be seen as to whether or not the enthusiasm will justify Ubisoft’s decision to make 5 different special editions of the title.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set to launch on March 7, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
