It’s that time of year again, and Overwatch fans can now participate in the game’s annual Halloween event, complete with new skins, new loot, and a brand new take on Junkenstein’s Revenge. The event will run from today through to November 1, so all players should have enough time to earn the event’s exclusive loot boxes before they get locked away for another year.
It seems that the old Junkenstein team has been replaced in Overwatch this year, with Genji, Torbjorn, Widowmaker, and Zenyatta now being the ones to take a stand against the armies of the evil Dr. Junkenstein. Joining the fight on the mad scientist’s side, however, is the new Dragon Symmetra who is sure to be as tricky to deal with as the hero is in any other close quarters situation.

According to the trailer description, both Eichenwalde and Hollywood have received Halloween makeovers, and there are not one, but two versions of Junkenstein’s Revenge available to players. With plenty of new content to explore, Overwatch fans should have no problem getting their hands on some of the themed loot boxes before the end of the event in November.
Although we’d already had a sneak peak at some of the leaked skins for the Halloween event earlier this week, it looks like Blizzard had a little more up their sleeves this year in the form of Corsair Ana, Viking Torbjorn, and several others. It seems that Reaper has received a new Halloween skin, while some other heroes are still yet to get one. Though, in all fairness, the undead Talon operative is a good fit for the spooky event.
These new Halloween cosmetics won’t be the only skins available soon, however, as Blizzard confirms that the exclusive Overwatch League team skins will be making their way into games at some point in the future. This new feature will allow fans of specific League teams to show their support by wearing their organization’s colors and is a great way to promote Blizzard’s e-sport experience.
