Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Releases Intense, Bite-Sized Trailer

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is slated to launch on August 22, 2017, for PlayStation 4.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

With Uncharted: The Lost Legacy having gone gold several weeks ago, it’s understandable why the publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Naughty Dog have been ramping up promotion for the forthcoming action-adventure title. As it so happens, the companies have now put out a brand new gameplay trailer for the release, which clocks in at just under thirty seconds in total.

As seen below in the latest piece of compiled footage for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, although the clip is labeled as a trailer, one could easily assume that it will be used as a television commercial going forward, seeing as how its thirty-second-time frame fits the format so neatly. Nevertheless, Sony and Naughty Dog manage to pack in a ton of excitement in that short span, giving fans multiple different looks at co-leads Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross taking part in a bunch of different action sequences.

Of course, while the latest video for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is decidedly short, it doesn’t mean the game itself will be, despite its technical classification as an add-on to the series’ fourth installment, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. As a matter of fact, Naughty Dog has teased that the title’s gameplay length could last around 10 hours, with the developer had stopped short at describing exactly the type of situations Chloe and Nadine face.

With Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for going a starring turn with Nathan Drake, it makes sense for fans to wonder whether or not the adventure will become the foundation of a fresh path for the franchise by using the new lead characters. However, while on the press tour for the upcoming game, Naughty Dog’s director of communications, Arne Meyer, implied that the developer might not be at the helm of another title beyond The Lost Legacy should another Uncharted game even come to fruition.

So, while Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set to stand tall on its own two feet within the franchise as of now, no matter what the future holds for the series, it’s safe to say that the development team deserves a little rest and relaxation once it launches. After all, Naughty Dog still has The Last of Us: Part 2 looming on the horizon.
